Indi v Jeff
Meet Jeff the Poodle - the newest addition to our family. Indi seems to be enjoying his company immensely; after all, who doesn't love a younger sibling to beat up on.
This photo captures what has been happening in our house on a consistent basis over the last couple of weeks: Doggie Smackdown!
Early Morning Cable Beach, Broome
I spent a very short, but pleasant, time in Broome recently. While the majority of my time was taken up with work, I did manage to wake up early enough to have a quick stroll on the beach and take a few photos.
I know that people rave about Cable Beach all the time, and yes, it was nice. But I have to admit that I didn't think it was as fantastic as people always seem to make out. But that probably is a result of living in Perth, which is also blessed with fantastic beaches.
In any case, the one thing about Broome that I couldn't fault was the weather - beautiful 30 degree stuff! Lovely!
My Girls
I just thought I'd draw attention to this photo of my two girls, Hannah and Indi.
Indi Resting
Indi had a great Christmas day, as can be seen in this photo. Oh, to live the life of a well-cared-for dog.
Vietnam 2 – Dalat’s “Easy Riders”
Hannah and I have made it down to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) on the last leg of our Vietnamese adventure. We've just completed the most fantastic few days in Dalat, which were easily the highlight of our entire time here.
We spent two days riding with two of Dalat's "Easy Riders", locals who can speak English and show you the sites. We developed a true bond with our riders, Quyen and Lucky. If you are planning a trip to Dalat, make sure you book these two guys as your riders. They are absolutely brilliant. Not only did they show us all the sites, but we developed a real friendship and at the end of our tour, we bonded over a traditional Vietnamese meal and shared traditional goat blood rice wine (literally rice wine mixed with goat's blood!) late into the night. Many laughs, many memories. Easily one of our best life experiences ever.
I invite you to check out our second Flickr set, encompassing Nha Trang and Dalat here, and if you are going to Dalat, contact me to get the details of our Easy Riders. You will not be disappointed, I promise!
Vietnam
Hannah and I are a week into our holiday in Vietnam and are enjoying it immensely. It's turned out to be a little difficult to access our website from some locations, but many of our friends will have been receiving our email updates.
