It’s New Year’s Day (just!) and Hannah and I are here blogging.

Hannah just said the following to me, after I joked that I might jump over the fence and engratiate myself with a nubile mistress at the “young party” next door.

Hannah replied: “If I don’t put out, and you put out elsewhere, you will be put out.”

My wife, so very witty and concise, even when confronted with my most outlandish statement.

I consider me put in my place.
