First born arguments

Today I got some GREAT news regarding my health, which means I no longer have to visit the hospital weekly – very, very exciting! So tonight, I bought a bottle of champagne that cost more than $9.99 (yes, time to splurge!) to celebrate. And, as part of that celebration, Andrew opted to cook so I could take the whole night off to relax and celebrate (spoilt, I know). So, as we haven’t had time to lately, as part of our celebration we were to watch our shows that we love as we never get the chance to watch them in ‘normal time’. As Andrew is cleaning up I divulge my desire to plug in his MacBook Pro to get the show rolling but tell him I am nervous about doing so myself. He asks “why?”. I say: “because I am so nervous about stuffing it up. That Mac is worth more than our first newborn” (which, by the way and luckily, is not yet even a star in the sky) to which I get the reply: “Sweetheart, of course it’s not. In any case, the Mac will be fully depreciated by the time our First Born is born so of course it’s not worth as much”. Hmmmm.

Great to hear that you won’t be visiting the hospital so often. It must be a huge relief.

Sounds like you’ll have to keep thinking up more good news so that Andrew can cook more often. :)

It has been a while since you have posted Han, but it was worth the wait
    Congrats on the news!!

With Andrew cooking..well you may be back in hospital sooner than you think!

And he’s right about depreciation, in fact you should buy another one this year and claim a full deduction for it (thanks PK!)

And hurry up – I can’t wait to be an uncle! (no thanks to my sisters!)

I know about the fear of stuffing up “techo” stuff. I’m too afraid to download my Robbie Williams photos from my camera to the computer unless I have assistance. Some things are too tragic to consider losing!

I’m so glad about the health news. Looking forward to seeing you both tomorrow!

And the Iron Chef is right- my (kid) kitchen is permanantley closed for business.
